Calientitos anyone? Sounds like something you'd order when eating south of the border. I came across these when we were entertaining family last week while out on a day trip. The bag doesn't say anything about ash content like all the other pellets I've used and after burning up a bag I can see why. Started with a clean stove and ended up with just over 32oz of ash in the pan and next to the burn pot. The flyash was so bad that I could have collected a few ounces more from the vent but let the leaf blower finish the job. Heat output was good but not worth the mess. They're made New Mexico so if they happen to migrate to your neck of the woods you've been warned.
Yikes.Good thing you only tried one bag. Thanks for the warning. We have plenty of ashy pellets up our way so no need to import any.
The bag does say "Please dispose of properly"....maybe they mean just throw the whole thing out, pellets and all?
Exactly what I was thinking. It's like running a second bag of Infernos v1.0. Painful but gotta do it for documentation sake?
I was thinking they were little frijoles I actually bought three bags and mixed the second one with some Heat'rs from Hombre Depot just to get rid of them. I learned to do this with "rot gut" whiskey
i never did figure out why some people will eat those hot chili peppers....knowing that they will need to hold on to the seat the next morning as they are hot on exit as well.. kinda like marrying the same woman the second time.just don't make sense???????????????
this was over turkey day weekend....my version of holy ash, batman! the tree was 29" at MBH and yielded 1.5 cords. It was dead standing and all the small stuff and one 12" arm was junk. I hurt when i got done....needed a bit of something from Bourbon county
