Well after this happened; me and probably 8 of the neighbor affected by this decided that we're gonna go to the next township meeting. Well it wound up that only 3 of us went.............but we must've made a difference, or put a big burr under the saddle of the township supervisor...............because we got action 2 days later (after the township meeting)!!!!!!! I was very decorum. Twas hard though.

I axed the "board" directly this question...................."My immediate neighbors and I have been noticing over the last several years (2 summers worth) that y'all (township) have been improving the streets, ditches, and sewers in and around the Helen St. (my area) area. While I'm not B+Ming (exact words) about this, what me and my neighbors are wondering is this...........................WHY IS ALL THIS WORK BEING DONE IN AREAS THAT HAVE NEVER FLOODED BEFORE; AND ALL UPHILL FROM US............WHERE THE FLOODING HAS BEEN OCCURING????? The township road commissioner was conspicuously absent for this meeting..............but..........3 days later...........................

It took them probably 2.5 weeks, but they redid almost 1500ft of ditch and storm sewer. In some sections, they were down almost 10 feet in the ground to make sure they had the pitch up by me..............YEAH, I'm in the low spot on the high spot..................hence that last sentence.

The new sewer is a good 2-3 feet lower in the ground than the old.................and we've had a couple good down pours since............and not a problem. A few pix of their WorK!

Almost chest deep here on my end.......................the "high" spot on the "low" spot!!!

Get some pix once the grass grows a bit more.

Figured that it's been long enough to update this thread.

Anyhow; the work the township did on my street is working out great!! That's a rarity for me also..............to compliment the township!!! Anyhow; after 16" of snow 10 days ago, then a warm up a few day later, melting 50% of the snow, and then 3 inches of rain on Thanksgiving day melting the rest of the snow...........................these new sewers got put to the test..................................and passed big time.

My sump pump in my crawl space was only cycling about once every 4-5 minutes vs. 2-3times/minute prior in similar conditions!!!! IMHO, they did good!!

A picture of the seeded areas..........

Glad you got it taken care of. Is the guy in the trench a town employee or private contractor?
How many OSHA violations can we see?
    Hint: No hard hat.

I guess when you are used to doing something for a long time these things get your attention right away.

The only reason I ask is all the talk about you being on Meds.
I bet if I look hard enough I might be able to come up with some Codeine pills that they gave me a few years back when I had surgery. Just lookin out for you.
