"Hey, Santa does this every year. How hard can it be, and ....what could go possibly wrong?" Yet, he obviously stopped at that "thought". Gene pool rotating door at it's finest. Not the first, nor will he be the last.
What is? The fact that the guy thought he could gain entry to the home thru the chimney or the fact that the home owner "scrambled to put the fire out"? I am not so sure I woulda been so compassionate.
I wonder how much investigation the coroner will do before he/she gives up and puts 'stuck in chimney' as the cause of death on the death certificate?
Death by chimbley. "Chestnuts roasting, On an open fahr, fireplace flames, nipping at your toes. Man screaming, in a fireplace flue, And smoke going, right up his nose. Everybody knows, A dumbazz, and a fireplace, help to make, A smokey mess. I'll stop.....
Guess I'd wanna know who covers the cost of fixing/replacing the chimney. Homeowners Ins., would be my first thought. It'd be fun explaining that to the adjuster.
Stupid is as Stupid does................................. Years ago when I was a LEO, we had a dip-chit try to gain entry to a jewelry store in a shopping mall by attempting to slide down the oven duct in a pizzeria located next door @ 3 a.m.. Unfortunately, he survived to, no doubt, be as stupid on some other day. Remember, you can't fix stupid.......................
