They are not ads, they are simply info that the staff wants to put out to people, and some of it help support the site They only stay up for a matter of seconds while logging in, after that they are gone. whats the big deal!!
My hats off to Grizzly Adam for all the hard work he does to the site. Before we all get our knickers in a bind, he's just doing his best to help promote the site, the new features, and special events (like the black Friday sale and the Secret Santa), he's not doing this to upset anyone. What some people fail to remember is we are TOTALLY FUNDED by the membership and the Swag Shoppe. No outside vendors, no third party advertising, etc. Please be patient with the glitches and some of the minor stuff, we are SINCERELY doing our best here. The site is growing, the membership is top-notch, the atmosphere is first-class, and we're trying to keep up with the current times with upgrades and/or events. All of this stuff is done VOLUNTARILY by an UNPAID STAFF who put COUNTLESS HOURS OF PERSONAL TIME IN. It ain't easy, trust us..

We appreciate ALL you guys do to keep this site up. This is, without a doubt, the best site on the internet ! Great people, friendly people. Thats why it's still growing.
The thing is, we are more than just a forum. We are trying to be a tool of education in all things firewood and pellets. Its an uphill battle but with every small victory this place becomes better. Also, I think of us as a family--one with a LOT of weird uncles, but a family just the same. When I first got here I asked what the "resources" tab was for and I was told thats where you put sponsor ads if we ever take on a sponsor. Well, thats not the way we went with that.
