The sled sold quickly. I put the ad on CL about 9 last night and my phone was beeping and buzzing all night and morning. First guy that made it here offered $100 less than my asking price. I declined since I had so many people interested. He knew I wasn't just yanking his chain as I had 2 phone calls and several texts from people on it. He quickly decided the extra $100 was worth his little girls happiness. Was worth mine too - I sold it for what I paid for it spring of 2013. With what I got for the Jeep, house taxes are taken care of, I can register the Explorer and still have some jingle in the pocket :D:thumbs:.

Now I just gotta find the stuff on the Wheel Horse lawn tractor. Don't use it so might as well see if I can get it out of the shed.

Yep, makes things soooo easy in the fall.....just for the want of a few oz. of Stabil for Ethanol in the tank in the spring.

    Product Listing || Gold Eagle

    Work smarter, not harder.

PS I bet that boat motor gas tank has it in it! ;)

Well, I got both stoves cleaned; those Currans blend from last year were so nasty that the P61a's ash pan was 2/9 full in two weeks; while in the same to weeks, the P43's ashpan was only about 1/3 full from the FSU's left over from last year. True, the FSU's had more fly ash on the baffles, and the ash was dark, but less ash non-the less.

Anyway, got the stoves cleaned, about killed myself on the wood ramp when I emptied the second one because in about 20 minutes time the temp had dropped enough to make the wet wood slick o_O. So, once I was done, decided it was time to crack open the bottle . Now perusing the interwebz to see if I can blow some of the jingle left from selling stuff off. Need some tool storage and work bench since I've demo'ed most of the homemade, 50 Y/O stuff that was there (can't demo the rest yet, they got tools in them).

If I drink enough, maybe I'll get up the gumption to dust every square inch of the main floor; the carpenter that worked on my bathroom apparently has never heard of the vac attachment to suck up mud sanding dust, and the plastic he hung wasn't much use .

Well getting closer on one of my pensions, the folks at Met-Life got back to me and they just need a sign off from the boss. So Monday it is a visit to our bank for a notary to witness her signature.

Should be hearing from the other one shortly as well. Now that BOA has blinked when confronted with the paperwork.

damm, this is getting to be comical. Keep all your paperwork folks it can come in handy dealing with historical events.

Meanwhile it was warsh day at the ranch, I got a very slow start so I wasn't done until after lunch.

Built my benches years ago using 2 by 4's on edge. On one applied an 1/8" metal top (If memory serves), and another has maple instead of the SPF. These benches are all 25 plus years with the original being 45 years old. They are all still in good working order.

They were cheaper to build than buy, better quality, and were fun projects.

Saw this when I was at HF a couple weeks ago (don't even remember why). For some reason, didn't realize it has a vise. Don't know how many times I cussed the previous homeowner for taking the vise off the bench and not leaving it for me (I assume it was a vise, the hole placement on the bench was perfect for it). My tool boxes look like they would fit under that shelf (well, my main toolbox may not, but it would fit on the shelf). Hmm, definitely worth thinking about. I wonder if I can scare up a super coupon that they send me sometimes.

Now, you just need to find me a great deal on a nice set of drawers (got all kinds of saws and other power tools) and a tall cabinet with doors. Although the homemade shop here looks like chit - it can hold a lot of stuff and I've used every bit of it .

Of course at 115 pounds, If I get one, I'm gonna need help getting it out of the truck :D.

Huh, just for kicks I checked out shipping charges and despite their assertion that an extra 14.95 for overweight ground charges would be levied, it was $6.99 for standard ground. You heard that right, $6.99. A whopping $165.00 for 2nd day and 286 for next day. I'm sold, on ground shipping - don't have to pick it up or anything. Ordered!

    Can't beat that - excellent.

For "cabinet" storage, I just use a 3-tier heavy-duty utility shelf I picked up @ HD for about 40 bucks on-sale here to hold the various tools/boxes/bits and supplies - but if you want something "fancy", you could probably make one out of 2x4's, and 1x12x1 pine board, which you can use for both the shelving, doors, and casing.

Edit: just saw your post w/ the links - yup, those would both work, and IIRC they are solid / nice quality. ( Go check them out yourself to make sure you are happy w/ them before pulling the trigger on purchase.. )

I really need enclosed (got plenty of metal shelves). But if I get the combo in my earlier post, then I may not need so much. Hmm, maybe a wall unit to go above the bench. Actually, can probably find a kitchen wall unit off CL for cheap and convert it. Now I gots to agonize over this.

Oh, and just realized if I take out the wood shelves behind the garage door - with all the paints and stuff on it, I do need a heavy duty shelf. Now I got more chit to agonize over. And, I gotta go start measuring for fitment!
