    Bait and switch?

    LOL

You must of missed the BLACK FRIDAY Ad, which is posted here on the forums.

    Menards

...I have 9 of them sitting on my trailer right now.
Yes.. 9. Nine brand new, in the wooden crates, 30Ton Forest king log splitters.

    9.

    Its pouring rain here.
i got to the store around 4:50 this morning.
Im about #30 in line to get into the store, about 10 minutes later an old co worker and her sister walk up and are behind me in line.
    Saved me.

I wasnt prepared.. They gave me a huge plastic bag, i cut a hole out of it for my head and slipped it on as a poncho!
lol it was a good time. I got in, got my vouchers, grabbed an $8 or something dog bed, hit the register and then hit the lumber yard to be loaded.

Wow:bug:! Thats a lot of splitters to flip! I seen a guy do that here on CL with the DHT 27 tons last year. But not with that many. Good luck! Hope you make enough to get yours for free! Or another chainsaw.....

I'm surprised they let you have 9 of them. Did you clean out their inventory?

I picked one up today too. The closest Menards to me had 54 in stock for the sale... The forklift operators had it down to a science to load that pallet into a truck bed. Took me longer to strap it down. pics will follow after this sleet/slush/rain crap slows down

Me too. I guess the ad didn't say otherwise, so...
I thought about getting some to sell in the past but decided against it because of the hassle and I figure the log splitter market would crash about the time I'd get in, then I'd be lucky to get out break even within a year. That, and I come on HFC to post about my score and then find out there were fellow members in line behind me that missed out due to my "entrepreneurship", I'd feel bad and hafta sell 'em one at zero profit...not enough hours in the day for this headache IMO. My storage space is at a premium too...
Hope it all works out for ya linkedxj

There was not a purchase limit, lucky for me. hah

I got out to the lumber yard and all the kids were like "9?! Good god!"
    LOL!!

According to the menards website, my local store had 18 in stock, i say about....38 when i got there this morning to get loaded.
I know for a fact i was the first to buy one, i had voucher #1, #2 and #3 and so on.

Doors opened at 6, i was back at home, in my driveway by 6:45.

    Awesome man!!

Pretty cool to see im not the only one to atleast buy 1 of them.

Atleast you have a tractor at home..
I used the forklift at my work to transfer 3 of them from my truck bed onto my trailer.
I got the 3 home and had to manually unload them from my trailer, into my garage.
    Im....about to croke.
I took the other 6 to my Dad's shop, we have an over head powered hoist in our shop.
