Was on my way home from Lowe's when I got a call from my son. My wife was down on the kitchen floor and he wasn't able to get her up. Very fortunate that he was able to come to her and keep her still until I got back. We were able to get her to her feet (very large lady). She has had both knees replaced. She says she didn't see our dog and tripped over him. he is about 110 lbs. All our floors are ceramic tile over cement. Makes for a hard landing. She is a little bruised and sore, a bit embarrassed. Thankful my son was here to help. The dog shows no ill effect from her tripping on him.
Real glad it's just bruises and a bruised pride! My dogs get in my feet all the time Y'all be careful up there in Maine, savemoney Have a happy Thanksgiving
Tell her to not be embarrassed. I'm pretty sure a lot us (Me) here have taken spills on ice sheets and such. Hope nothing fractured. Dang dog.
Happy this turned out okay Larry. Reminds me of a close friend. She fell in her kitchen and her husband was working out on the shop. No way to reach him and she could not get up. Was able to reach the telephone and called a neighbor who came over to get her husband. Did not turn out so well with her but she is okay now. We still kid her about it though.
Seems to be OK for now. Resting with the heating pad on. She is still determined to get the turkeys cooking for tomorrow.
Larry, glad she is ok and didnt break anything like a hip or hit her head and glad your son was there! Hopefully any soreness and bruising heals quick!
Very glad to hear she's ok, buddy! Those things are sometimes hard to avoid happening. I tripped on a cornstalk out hunting pheasants this afternoon, almost got speared by another when it happened!
