Opinion on Forest king 30 Ton Log Splitter.

    As I said, I'm not all that knowledgable, but that's what it looked like to me. It's what caused me to walk away. I'm guessing that someone with more experience and/or first hand knowledge will chime in.

    The 22T model does have a 2 stage pump.

    Yes, When you click on the link, It takes you to the 22 ton model.
    Saturday I went to the store & made them show me the 30 ton model. They had them stacked in the back, not assembled.
    Black Friday Sale is on the 30 ton for $799.99. Everyday price is $799.00 for the 22 ton. Both have 2 stage pumps.

    Sucks they don't have the 22T on sale this year... That is all I need. Last year I was working that day, so no shopping. This year I got to go in on nightshift, so not sure if I'll be getting up early for that or not.

    The 30T only has a 208cc engine though... Which is interesting since the same one Pallet Pete linked has 277. Perhaps in Canada they use different motors on them.

    Here are some pics I took of the 22 ton. I didnt buy it because I read some things online about the splitter having pump and engine start issues. At our menards its $999 normal and sales at $699 to $799 a lot depending on the holiday or sale.. Its actually a decent looking splitter ugly welds but they look strong.

    I have never seen a 30 ton so I asked and was told they dont carry it in store except holidays!

    "Includes battery"?? Is that thing electric start?

    That looks like a honda clone engine...just like HF sell also. I bet it starts just as easy too.

    I about seriously thought about taking a road trip and staying with one of you guys to get one!!!

    Then I thought Nah. Probably my be cheaper to buy the TSC husky at $900 than to spend all that time and fuel ;-)
