The wife has been running the stove on # 1 for most of the month... now all that built up ash and soot has plugged up the stove and causing pellets to overflow the burnpot.

    Time for a good cleaning...

That video never gets old. Your neighbors must have looked at you the same way mine looked at me first time I used a leaf blower for vent cleaning. :)

Well I guess i'll have to clean this stove more often when using my new 'Wood Fiber" pellets... the burn pot was loaded with ash and clinkers. The clinkers prevented the Versa-Grate from keeping the pot clean.... even using the manual clean out dump under the Versa-Grate didn't help.

When I burn Uncle Jed's or any doug fir pellet I don't have tp open the door for two weeks.

I don't see any screws in your burn pot. They must have changed their formula since I last burned that chit.

I never let my late Hastings go more than 2 weeks between cleanings. Usually needed to empty the ash pan every week, so took the opportunity to do a good vacuum (LBT only 1-2 times last winter). Of course if you aren't used to running chit pellets, it would be a surprise I'm sure.

I'm actually still happy with these pellets. I scrape the burn pot in the Englander everyday or just dump it out if I let it run out of fuel. I find these have very little ash now that I have burned a bunch of bags... I had less than 1/3 of a pan in the St Croix after one week of burning. @ $199/ton I plan on buying another two tons.
