    Sunday morning ride guy was cutting up some little trees asked he wants them, ok say no more be back to get them , what kind of wood you think it is, the gray had a tiny maple leaf, so silver maple , and also found a rake for the stove on his property . Should get about 30 or more little logs after he's done cutting them for me not bad

    NY, the tool you got is actually a weed chopper. Now we want some pictures of you using it right, but we can wait until next summer if need be. :whistle:

    What is it in that pic that gives it away? At first glance, I mite have said cherry. Just looking to broaden my ID knowledge.

    The first pic, the bigger round looks like Cherry.

    Does it smell like wintergreen, if it does it's Black Birch.

    I would think cherry too....but to my best recollection I have never had any birch.

    We have Yellow Birch that gives off that wintergreen smell, not bad firewood too.

    Never saw a manual weed whacker as a coal rake, I'm not knocking it, just never saw anyone use one for that, I bet it will work
