Went the "The Bong" today to pheasant hunt.....................Richard Bong State Recreation Area in Kansasville, WI. Crazy windy today; 30-40+mph winds, so I figured what the hell. I hate shoeing horses on days with strong winds, as the horses (prey animals) get on edge in high winds. My little chocolate dog flushed 6 birds total. Couldn't get shots at the first 4 due to thick cover and being in the wrong spots. Flushes 5-6 happened together; and I doubled them up!!!! Pretty cool!! Picture proof....................and y'all even get to see part of my stack of uglies!!!
Nice work in the field MW, you have a proud looking pup in a sit stay smiling for the shot. Great looking coat, nice deep chocolate color. And for your uglies stack, it looks better than my regular cord wood...very nice
All my wood is "uglies" when compared to the pristine, quaffed, and elegantly tended stacks often shown here!!
What a crazy different backdrop that picture would have this morning for you! All we would see is your pups neck and head!! Nice hunt MightyWhitey!
That's the "fresher splits" in the picture. I've got about 1.5 months of 2yo seasoned hard maple, box elder under a tarp further to the right in the picture............to my dogs left.
