Ugh I havnt had time to cover some of my piles till today and its snowing faster than I can cover the piles. I have used plastic from work thats thick, water bottles for t post plastic protectors, pbr, snow and a leaf blower let the race begin! Guess my piles sit till spring now I wont be able to get back to them soon.. Here we go winter is a beautiful pain in the butt here.
I would not have guessed that pbr cans are heavy enough to hold down the covers, especially when empty. You're not far from us and a warmup is forecast next week. Hope you get another chance to cover 'em after Thursdays melt-down. Pic was this morning. About 3 inches already and 5" possible by tonight. More tomorrow.
I was thinking of putting some tarps on the driveway stacks, but I don't know if I'll get to it soon enough. Must add tarps to "the list". We're getting a real fine light snow right now.
Man, we're supposed to meet the family at Zehnders tomorrow. I'll just have to take it easy and leave a little early, I guess.
Lord I hope so! We never can tell for sure.... The snow is coming down hard now but it's warm enough that it is melting away slowly.
Thank you Sean! The yard would be totally different without the stacks they make it look good.... We have even have people walking the trail ask to take pictures in front of the Great Wall of wood! I am well known around here as the crazy wood hoarder..... We like winter but it's defiantly a pain in the butt to do anything. This year thanks to another member we have tire chains and I am welding up a plow mount for my tractor to make it much easier. The snow drifting up our drive is terrible. There is however nothing more beautiful than the fire going with the window blinds up and a white background.
That must give you a sense of pride that people find it interesting and neat! We have a bit of snow here but not much. Its a nice sunny day in the Rockies currently sitting at 30 f. We had lots of heavy cold rain last week which was a drag. I was finding water in all kinds of places in my stacks that I thought would be dry! Its all good though. Seems like the cooler dry air has taken care of that.
I like me some Zehnders chicken. We tend toward Bavarian Inn more though, a little less busy. My wife likes their liver and onions too.
I like me some L&O too. Yep, BI is a little less busy. We go to Zehnders in the month of our birthdays and get a free dinner.
Looks like about 6 1/2 to 7 inches we got here so far , still snowing . I'm glad I filled the mini wood sheds right outside the back door and put that shovel right there too
