    Poor Birdie hasn't had a shower in 2 years (since I moved here). He won't come out of his cage so the only way to give him a shower is to put the cage in the tub then use a shower hose to let him move in and out of the water as he pleases.

    Was getting nuisance alarms from my fire alarms. Just spent an arm and a leg replacing them all. They were roughly 6 years old and should still have been good.

    A cockatiel that is at least 20 years ole. I got him in 2003 from a friend that was moving to AZ. She had him about 10 years and he had been found as an adult in the woods.

    Fired up the furnace for its inaugural run this season. It's not terribly cold out (32) but figured I'd make sure all is well before winter really sets in.

    Got a couple inches of the white chit on the ground and it's still coming down. Supposed to get back up in the 50s next week.
