gota say Im impressed with the BK, put in six splits on some coals last night at 10. At 7 this morning there was a lot of coals still piled up in there. My old stove would barely had any coals left at all and have been mostly cold. I like this thing already!

Looks good Sean! Curious where you bit your stove pipe at? A house I'm looking at buying has a stove in it with that same type of pipe. Looks like double wall with some venting?

Gotcha. It looks like it would give off a little more heat than standard double wall but still offer double wall clearances above it.

    Swags,
I just lit my brand new princess insert last week. After a few small fires I decided to load it up half way for some of that alien technology. When i engaged the cat and gradually dialed the tstat down to almost closed my CAT started glowing like the sun! Cat temps were almost pegged after a little while. From what I can gather, the wood (dry oak) started to out gas and that brand new CAT went to town on it. I have been told this is normal and the CAT needs to be "broken in".
Anyway, in case you experience the same thing with a new CAT, its normal.
    Good luck, nice install.

Looking good there Swags. Can't wait for the stove to sit in its rightful place.
