I have to say-between the 550xp and the 7900 the 562 doesn't get much use around here. Still no reason to not own a few of each however.

Oh, and congrats on the purchase. You are really going to like that saw! I predict after using one for a while you will end up buying a 550 also.

Very similar reason for my very brief stint with it. It's not much lighter than the 372xp so I filled the 60cc void briefly only to leave it permanently open.

I do think it was a very impressive saw.

    If I track down a nice 372 I'm considering selling the 562.

Just lined up a dead stander for the break in! Hopefully its a good hardwood! Otherwise I will noddle some elm I cut down last weekend! Where theres a will theres a way. My dad has a few cottonwood down on his property if nothing else. I want to run it hard though and get those rings good and seated. I'm of the run it like you stole it crowd. Seems to lead to better power out of the engine!!

Just make sure you take lots of pictures and videos for us saw junkies! That is the most important thing.

Mine wears a 20" 3/8 .050 most of the time (that's what fit in my old stihl full length case). I have cut a bunch with a 28" when I first bought it and I was cutting up a bunch of beech trees that had fallen in a storm, 2 at 32-36"+ stumps. I have a few oregons for it and a Total bar and of course the factory husky 20" bar. I use mostly full chisel Woodland Pro chain, if I hit some dirt or something, I just change the chain when dull and then sharpen the pile when I have a 1/2 dozen chains to sharpen. I think the saw is pretty happy at about the 20" or 24" is still pretty decent, I save the 28" now for mostly the 372xp, which wears a 24" most of the time.
The anti vibe on the saw is about the best feature to me. I will gladly run it all day and it doesn't shake your teeth loose or numb your arms, it is just a light, powerful, comfortable saw to run.

    Love my 562XP. It's my go to saw. I'm running a 20" sugi bar 3/8th .050 chain IMG_20141214_130650684.jpg
