Larry, I have had my eyes on those for a couple years now. I have not bought one because I have turned into a sip here and there all day long, and so many times my sip is cold (blech) so I tossit and pour another 1/2 cup. Glad it works well for you!!

I got my wife one last Christmas. She loves it as with in a minute or so she can have a tea or cocoa. I use it too for an occasional decafe and the 2 cups on Sunday(beer time comes early on Sundays). Otherwise I make my usual half pot of joe Monday through Saturday.

I agree cold coffee blech unless its over ice and usually black!!

Oil tanks are cheap, oil is more efficient than propane. If you own your own tank, you can get oil anywhere. Very hard to find a decent sized propane tank to outright buy (for house, need about 500 gal), and if you do, they are very costly. And then they have to be tested every so many years (each state may vary in timing) and those pressure tests ain't cheap. Heck, you would come out way ahead to buy a new oil tank every 5 years if you needed to (unlikely - they usually go for 15+). Rent for a propane tank can add $1 or more per gallon! Also, if you rent, and you don't use enough, they will charge you the rental cost anyway, so you will still pay them at least quarterly. If you try to switch out tanks to another company, they will charge you massive bucks to come get the tank (they can't transport over 50 gallons in an empty tank so will have to pump it out). Oh, and propane tanks are ugly, especially if you rent and can't paint it. Also, the larger ones have to be a certain distance from house.

I used oil for 25 years and the second tank was only a couple years old when I moved (and I think it cost like $200). It was 275 gallons in a nice compact tank that was black and could sit at the side of the house next to some screening shrubs. The place I'm at now uses propane and I hate the tank, hate the inefficiency, hate the tank is in the middle of my yard, hate the propane company I'm stuck with. I'm just a hater :D

There are so many reason (in my mind) NOT to switch to propane. But hey, I'm not you, so I promise not to call you names if you do switch over :smoke:

That all depends on the furnace or boiler you get/have. My propane furnace is 95% efficient.
