Those leaves look more like locust to me. Are you sure that's not Honey Locust?

Well, now we know where Andrew Luck's "Lucky Beard" went...

there are a few tree companies that give me wood, around here the money is made with the removals not the wood, some people are particular about the size and kind of wood they get , these guys dont have the time or patients to deal with that so its easy to dump it where they know guys wont complain or be pickey about size or species, most people around here have no interest in wood and those who do dont have the tools to deal with the big stuff ( or there smart enough not to )or the desire to do the work, but many want some when its all cut and split for their ornamental fireplaces.i tell people they can split some and take it home ,only one has the people around here dont even like being outside.

I really need to talk to local tree service people. I know the one that dropped my yard tree ash dumps near my new home and is allowed to dump anything, even top branches, there. I would take anything over about 2 inches but would not want all the tiny branches he ends up dumping.
