Thanks guys!! No arrogance or offense taken in anyway and I appreciate the feedback:) Yes, good advice on both accounts. I have a feeling this will have a new thread in the future, the singing has been more common the last few months... Meanwhile, thrilled its running again.

For past reference I had problems with the stove, (couple ashpan fires, augers not stopping the feed, and melting the ignitor and ignitor housing) but think that is TMI at the moment. The manufacturer advised me to not run it higher that speed 4. There are 6 speeds on it. AND.....I put it on 5 tonight :emb: I was chillie and tested the limits like a wild woman.:picard:

Thrilled I am warm again (no furnace here) and the harmonics are subsiding.

    YOU GUYS are the BEST!!

I just did a one ton complete clean 2 weeks ago. I have never explored pulling augers. Might I call on you when this happens? Is it possible fines are causing problems?

Eta, I think my motors do not have lubrication ports.

Beyond the point now, but yes, I had the F160 or F106 error (guess I figured out I am lysdexic after 44 years) but that is the over firing or too hot code. Thanks Steve!!

I have always confused i after e and vice versa, but wow, since I got sick and only type instead of cursive, guess I forgot how to correct myself. But I am guessing 99% of you know what I am trying to write, be it e before i or not :whistle:

Sure, would be happy to help, but best to start a new thread w/ the particular stove this pertains to - you will receive excellent help from the folks here.

To answer the second part, it is absolutely possible (and probable) that fines are contributing, or causing the issue.

Just did this a few weeks ago, after clearing out fines in the hopper of the Ecoteck stove here, the Graphite works spiffy.

With the stove shut down, and -cold-, remove as many pellets as possible from the hopper with a cup, etc., then using a clean Shop Vac, vacuum the remain pellets out until the auger is exposed / the hopper is empty. (If the Shop Vac is clean, you can screen the pellets vacuumed out the bottom for fines & burn the good ones.)

Shake the living daylights out of the Graphite spay can, like 3-5 minutes worth - to thoroughly mix the graphite in the can..

Wipe out the hopper with a damp cloth, let dry, then wipe out with a dry cloth, then re-vacuum the hopper (so it's super clean), now you can give the hopper and any exposed auger a light coating of Graphite spray.

Wait 20-30 minutes / until dry, and give it 2nd light to medium coating.

Let the 2nd coat dry longer, approx. 45-60 minutes, it should be dry to touch, not tacky.

Load the hopper with pellets, done. Fire 'er up.

The EZ-SLIDE Graphite -Based-Coating I used here was purchased from Tractor Supply Co.

Another excellent choice is CRC Graphite Dry Film Lubricant, that is available at many Auto supply stores, Grainger, etc. (Just make sure to get the -Dry Film- lubricant if purchasing CRC brand: they make a few types.)

Hopefully above is clear, but shout back if you have any questions, etc.

I got a tube of dry graphite and put that in at the bottom of the almost empty hopper of the P61, just above the gate (okay, I squirted some of the contents of the tube in there). Worked a charm for me and no need to shut down. But, not familiar with your stove, so CleanFire may have the better idea. My issue was not being able to find the spray graphite (heck, even the auto supply store had no clue what I was talking about - I had to find the tube of dry stuff on their shelves myself).

Most of the more modern exhaust blower motors are of the ball bearing type, and normally don't need any lubrication, but many of the convection (room air) blowers DO. There are ports to put oil in, although they may be "hidden" because they are on the bottom of the motor. That was the case with my 10-cpm, so I took it apart & rotated it on the housing so they faced up.

I've posted these before, but it can't hurt to do so again.....some may not have seen them. Remember, 2-3 drops in each port, 3 in 1 Blue can is preferred, but any 20w NON-detergent oil will work...."regular" 3 in 1 will do in a pinch. Also, if you do get the ports facing up, I always put a small piece of masking tape over them after I was done to help keep dust/dirt out. Some motors used to have caps (see pic):

Word around the campfire is cold and 3-6" of sn*w this weekend. I put the exhaust blower back on the furnace last night, oiled the motors and greased the actuators for the automatic burn pot cleanout mechanism. I got about halfway through the "spring cleaning" on the inside of the furnace last night when I got a call from work, so I didn't get it finished. I should be able to get that finished up tonight and hopefully hit it with the leafblower before dark. After that, it'll be vacuuming the fines out of the bottom of the hopper and getting ready to fire it up Friday night.

Time to bottle the cider. Then comes the worst part of brewing the real wait game.

For the past two years, I've had a new Keurig coffee maker sitting in box. I've been wasting a lot of coffee now that my consumption is down to one or two cups. So today I decided to open the box up and get this thing running. There were some sample packs in with the coffee maker. I ran a couple of cups of water through it to get it rinsed out, then one of the sample cups. Came out just fine. I have some of those singles that you can load up with your own coffee. Those prepackaged ones are way too expensive. Best part is the coffee is made really quick. No more waiting for it to brew. Still get that nice coffee aroma while the coffee fills the cup. :D

I got a letter from the Insurance Co. wanting a inspection on my oil furnace/tank. Got a contact to do the inspection and will need of a new tank, ouch! Contemplating other options(proPAIN furnace/tank rental/contract), (electric furnace/Ontario hydro$$$$), (good heat pump/Ontario hydro$$$$) or give in and buy new oil tank:mad:I do not use the furnace very much, heck I haven't bought oil for many, many, many years thanks to pellets:DOnly use it when we have to stay overnight out of town:picard:
P.S. no natural gas available in this area.
