    Finally ordered one in the XPG 20" version! Pulled the trigger last night to handle firewood duty a little better than the 450 Rancher with a 20" nk. Hoping it gets here by the weekend!!! Planning on adding a 24" bar as an extra/spare if I come across some bigger wood! I'm super stoked! Hopefully its all its raved up to be! Now to line up a work out for it.....

    562xp is probably the best one saw plan out there. With the Dolmar 6100 and 362C-M as an honorable mention:)

    Awesome saw... The only one issue that I had with it was the outboard clutch. I could never get use to it. But a heck of a saw none the less... Congrats...

    A new 562 and no wood to cut is a bad combination. Better get busy.

    Two 70cc saws does not excuse you from having to fill the 60cc slot. You NEED another saw. Go ahead, buy another. We'll wait here. :whistle: :saw::saw::saw:

    I think they do alright. I wouldn't mount the 24" on it over one of your 70cc machines tho. The 562 really just handles nicer with a 20".

    I've run one with a full wrap, muffler mod and a 28", not my preferred way to go but it was surprisingly good.

    I hear they do quite well actually. That was my reason for buying! Youtube videos prove it!

    On that note what bar and chain combo do you 562 owners recommend?

    I'd say yes, but I wouldn't want to do it all the time. That's how I view my 362 anyway. 20" bar is where it's at.

    I should add that I cut clean and dirty wood (scrounge and on some properties). And plan on ordering log loads at some point. Oregon or forester better than the other?

    Oregon has different levels of quality. You get what you pay for. Forester is a basic, low cost bar.

    Come on JRSDWS, help out....
    Of course ol D mite not have a comment- his 562 is a ported shelf queen...well, that's what it looked like (the shelf queen part, 'cos it was definitely a ported screamin' meany) back in May
    :thumbs::wacky:
    I'd say .325 .050 would reduce saw kerf a tad, but you will need to muffler mod or have it ported to get the most out of it- and this from a guy that just sold the saw I was gonna send off for porting:thumbs::rofl: :lol::picard:

    LOL....that thing was fresh out of the box when you saw it.....still pretty much the same.

    Mine wears 20" 3/8" 0.050" most of the time. Never ran one stock, but I would think 18" or 20" is where she'd be happiest with either 3/8 or .325 chain.
