All this area is getting is rain, but we do have a flash flood watch. I know, I know It is supposed to drop into the 20's for overnight lows over the weekend though.
my memory fails me at times, but I recall somebody postin' up a week ago or so a thread titled "ashes"......... What a great forum, wish I had more time to hang out on here.....
Im starting to think that we wont have a winter down here this year. It was in the low 70s today and tomorrow its supposed to be 75 for a high. For those of you getting the cold wet stuff be careful and stay warm
I saw the snow that Denver got the other day and no offense to the folks out there but I'm glad we are snow free for now. Last November we were very cold, I'm happy this year the temps have been a bit more mild.
No snow here, rain and up to 70 tomorrow but highs only in the 40s this weekend. Turning colder but not real cold yet. Still saving the good oak for colder weather! I'd love snow but this area would freak out if we got it this early!
Last night all this area received were 2.5 inches of rain. But if it were snow, depending on the density, it would translate to 25 to 32.5 inches of snow with 1 inch of rain being the equivalent of 10 to 13 inches of snow, depending on the density. It's a good thing the overnight temperature was in the upper 50's, low 60's or I'd be in deep snow like those in the northern end of the country.
I absolutely love snow and winter so yes I am ready. Unfortunately we probably wont see much just wish I could be out in British Columbia they have had some amazing snow so far this season! Come on cold and snow!
Be kinda chilly playing around in that snow, dressed to your apparent level of preferred coverage.... Jus' sayin'......
No I'm not ready yet still need to get blower and chains on both with oil change.. see avatar! Then bring it! but keep people that cannot drive in it off the roads
Changed the oil & belts in mine yesterday. Went to fire it up and no go, no spark, the coil was bad. Changed that out and good to go. I wouldn't have wanted to find that problem when I really needed to move snow. That would have been a bad day!
No kidding. I use weather.com and the forecast changes between these three <1, 1-3, 3-5 almost every time I check it. Either way, I'm ready! Finished up splitting and stacking this morning. Check. Snow blower parked in the garage; started on first pull and oil and gas are full. Check. Face cord+, some pallet wood, 4 bags of kindling and a few packs of CWF bricks in the garage. Check. Bring on Old Man Winter!
