    I ordered a new Dolmar 7910 from my local dealer and can't wait for it to get here. Had to tell someone my wife is tired of hearing about chainsaws...

    lol, the second the word "saw" comes out of my mouth my wife just leaves the room. She thinks a man should be able to get by with one saw, and any more than that is just a waste. In her mind a circular saw, table saw, reciprocating saw, jig saw and chainsaw are all capable of doing the same things!!

    I do admit I can become a little obsessed with fun tools/toys. It's nice to have a group of folks that enjoy the same things. By the way, I've got a 24inch bar coming for that bad mama jama. Ready to hang it in the wood!

    Soon you will find yourself sitting in the livingroom, reading FHC for fun and something will strike your funnybone. When you chuckle she will say, "are you reading about firewood again?" At that moment, you will know you have arrived.

    Anyone know how long it's been taking to get Dolmars to the Midwest since Makita took over distribution? I believe everything comes from Georgia now?

    Try putting your saws in the gun safe, maybe they will reproduce too?

    they want to be the big boss in the family thats all and this is why start fights when you buy a new saw or other tool , the truth is that they dont give a chit if you have a 10 or 20 saws , just because 1) they dont interesting for tools , woman nature , maybe in front of you will tell ohh darling what a nice saw and when you go out she just say azzhole what is this garbage that you buy
    2) they dont care because you dont take money from her for buying a saw , for example she dont have problem if spend 5000 for holidays or expensive clothes just because all womans like the expensive clothes, but always she have problem if you buy a tool even if is a cheap one , she always tell that you spend money for nothing.
    The trick for dont have fights with her is just buy your saw and dont tell to her , even if she see it in most cases she dont understand that is new.

    LMFAO "centipede" :rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

    Reminds me of back around 1999 or so - Oldest brother was getting divorce,I was at his house helping him move some stuff that his soon to be ex wife had left.Her younger brother was also there (Tommy was a good guy,he took brother's side during the deal cause his sister was nuts...lol) Anyway,in spare bedroom he found some 30+ pairs of expensive shoes,never worn & still in original boxes.Along with other clothes & a bunch of miscellaneous household items.

    "What is all this crap? She went through your money faster than you could earn it? I'll bet she don't even remember buying any of this stuff!! :hair: :loco: :crazy: "

    Naw, it's nothing like that. Every month we each put a small amount of money into separate checking accounts, and the rest goes into our joint account. That way we can each spend money on things the other thinks is frivolous without having money arguments. She typically buys clothes and shoes. I typically buy tools and ammo (unless I actually need some clothes or shoes).

    What it really goes back to is she came from a family that paid to have work done. I grew up in a family where we learned to do everything ourselves. She just doesn't quite understand how I could LIKE working with my hands around the house on the weekends!
