She looks very worn out. Poor thing. She hasn't any idea what has occurred or why. When they eat, and poop, you know they are on their way to recovery. My Molly was a week getting the anesthesia out of her.

Recovering, yes, but we still are worried. When she gets the puppy energy burst, we need to stop it immediately. She then goes for a very short walk in the yard, and thats usually all it takes for her to lay back down. She is on some heavy duty meds, with food, and she started acting like she was going to vomit, but thankfully didn't. It was similar to a reverse sneeze that Saucy gets at times.

Dealing with kennel cough here. Both dogs got it pretty bad. It's going around the area.

Just a typical night here. Lounging in front of the fire and of course at least one dog wanted in on the action.

Rough disease. Years ago we were going on a trip and had to kennel our 2 dogs. They had had the vaccine and got it anyway. It was touch and go for a while. Never have kenneled a dog since then. Good luck.

Seems like Champ has done well by you and you by him- good looking older Yellow- sorry to hear of the cancer.
    Shameless action pic, huh?
Your other pups are great too, LinkedXJ!
We have a smooth coat (short haired) Border- he's my buddy.
Harvey the rescue lab mix is a mess- and his loyalties lie with his momma(muh wife).

Sorry about the poor lighting, I had just clicked on the overhead and those darn CF bulbs take a min to warm up, but I knew he wouldn't wait for that!

    Maple update-

Dawn stayed home today and said Maple did good. The meds still keep her sleepy. Minimal wild spells, so thats good. I checked her incision this evening and everything for the most part looks good.

Now for tomorrow. Dawn and I are both going to be working. Maple will have her cone on, Dawn will take a long lunch to give Maple her prescription lunch, wait an hour then administer the slurry medication. Maple will be staying in the hallway, tall gates on either side of her, a comfy bed, and I will probaby come home up to an hour earlier then usual. We are hoping Maple just sleeps a lot.

Sorry they have to deal with that. It has been nearly a year since my dogs have been anywhere near any other dog. Some dog flu came around so I decided to keep them isolated. The vet has been willing to give them their immunization in my car. I know there is only so much you can do. Hope they have an uncomplicated recovery.
