not to hijack the thread, but this is a good point.

We tend to iron out our small issues in the Pellet Heads What's Up Today thread or in a thread unrelated to the issue. The search engines will point newbs to us faster if we create new and dedicated threads with the make, model of the stove and a quick description of the problem.

Now back to regular programming :D

Right- we need more posts like gbeda posted earlier "P68 won't shut down"......which will generally cause a hit on the search engines....drive folks here rather than other unsavory forums

The "New to me" Adv 2 T needed a new ash pan door latch (Don't have a clue how they !@#$%^ it up) but the thing was all bent to hell.

Had to remove the ash pan door, then drilled out the pop rivets to get at the latch.

The latch had been messed with as the actual latch pin was in backwards and all bent up.

Sadly it was a total loss.

The good part was it said Southco on it.

Some snooping revealed that the little latch was an easy score at $1.49 each
Got it today and all better now.

Needed some 1/8" thick gasket rope, ahhhh, no go locally, so ordered it online.

Soon all the stuff on the ADV 2T WILL BE SWEEEEEET

    Haaaaaaaaaaaa

Actually, in another part of my life I was a field service engineer in the mill industry.

This translates to go out and fix what does not work once it was delivered to the mill.

    Make it work :D
