No, the jotul won't supply us with a 24 hr burn cycle, but it started Thurs night, wet, cold, and very windy. The winds were gusting yesterday up to 50mph + and have kept on blowing, keeping our real feel in the 20s over night and 30s today. I just kept throwing uglies of hickory and hard maple in the castine saving the good stuff for the cold months. Man the hickory smells good! Stay warm!

About the same conditions here, seemed like the wind was never gunna give up. Still breezy today but nothing like the past 24.

Yeah wind made it my way. Not to bad but enough to stop me from blowing the leaves out the yard today. Woke up and started a fire at 8 and been tending it all morning while fixing some things around the house.

Happy to not have a fire going today! We'll be thinking of you Dave.

Just finished my first 24/7 cycle with the Fireview. Loaded 3 oak splits and a 6 inch knot at 8:30 pm; temp was 74 when I went to bed and did a reload at 8:00 am this morning with temp at 72. Warmest morning I've ever had during the heating season. Best part was reload of splits - no kindling required!

Yeah, we tend to try burning up all the uglies first part of burn season too. Have so much extra ugly stuff this year, and with how mild it's been, we could burn nothin' but chunks 'til Christmas.... After that comes the "real wood".
