Well, my $25 kit finally arrived today. It has 95% of my missing parts. All I need is a chain catch and I should be good.

For $25, it's money well spent. Lots of items you need when dealing with saws often.

No. It's from Custom chainsaw parts out West. But for $25? Well worth it. IMO

I found a new seller on the bay and have gotten a good stash of consumables. Like fuel filters bar nuts screws various impulse lines gaskets fuel lines. Much of it bought shipped from china for $1. Like 3 husky filters for $1.04. Others have found them an the deals are not as good. But there I a bunch of stuff I could use.

The seller is from china and a new eBay member. Funny thing is the stuff ships from Hultz

Well, I finished it on Fri. I tore it down, cleaned everything, checked everything, did a Muff mod (painted muff also), port matched the exhaust, new base gasket, and a fuel line.

It's still not the prettiest. But it runs :) Good ;) and will be heading down the road soon.

(More pics to come later. My phones Gallery will only open for a fee seconds and lock up):(

Hey Dex, ships have galleys, phones have gallery's. :D Sorry I just had too, I like an open galley, cause I love to eat. That saw looks good. Try the battery removal trick on the phone, usually "fixes" mine. If it works I want a discount price on that saw. A C

I have 4 batteries for my phone. It gets the battery pulled daily (It dies pretty quick, so I just put a charged battery in) I broke my original S4 and received a phone from Assurion and they look brand new, but are factory refurbs.

Had problems ever since. I can type and the phone will jumble the words. So I type one word, then wait, type another word, wait... Sucks.. If I was to type as fast as I can? It would look like jiberish :)

That's how my phone acts but its a $70 phone. Its a combination of the browser and this software. It does not happen on tapatalk to me.

Saw will be for sale in the Classifieds here soon. The trade I had lined up fell through (both parties agreed it wasn't best), so PM if interested.

Good stuff, Dex. I'm sure you'll get an offer on that bad boy soon. Do you offer it up locally too? I have an 036 PRO on tap for a top-end rebuild. it's literally in pieces right now but should fit back together nicely with donor parts. I'll be cleaning up the cylinder next week w/ HCl. There isn't a ton of transfer but enough to clean up... got a Meteor from weedeaterman in the mail today. My old man loves the 034Super w/ the Meteor. It's a stronnng runner.

No. I try not to sell locally. I'd rather sell to an enthusiast here or on AnotherSite.

The 034S/036/360 is one of the best (non autotune) firewood saws. IMO

One of the first saws I put together from a box of parts was an 034. I love that saw for more than one reason. Like you say they are great firewood saws. But in my opinion you need a gaggle of saws to get the job done right.:p

I still have my first Stihl. It's an early 034, she's on the bench topless right now waiting for a new piston. (long story, not the saw's fault....... :emb:)

Hey MM... Will be starting 2 new threads soon.

1st one... I finally got a VERY nice Husq 55 to fill the void in my heart from my plastic whale.

2nd one... I have a Husq 550xp coming as well ;) Story behind that one. Brand new. Never fueled. (Hint-My J-Red 2253 was never fueled either ;))

As for your 034? I think we'd all like to see and hear what happened. We are here for moral support and to help one another

I got in a hurry re-installing the jug, snagged a ring on the base, and decided to poke the ring back in it's groove with a small screwdriver. Left a beautiful scratch right down the exhaust side of the skirt. It more than likely won't affect a thing as far as how it runs but I intend to sell the saw down the road so......

So you traded the 2250 for a 550XP? Whazzamatta? You donna like-a red? :) (I'm picky like that too. ;) )

I was wondering why we didn't hear much about the Jred. Tell me, is the 441 still in your possession or did you throw it to the Monkey yet? :D

Lemme know what you think about that 55. Its been ages since I've run one, I remember being impressed for it's size/price. Built way better than a 455 IMO.
