    Hi Earl,
Missed you! Glad you found your way. It has been 2 yrs! We are mostly all here except for a few that must have given up. There also was a young fireman from the Bangor area that I was hoping would find us, but that hasn't happened yet.
There is a lot of catching up to do. Take a look around. Lots of fun here. We sit around, tell a lot of friendly stories. Good place for the whole family.

That's 'cause if the strap broke: guess who was pushing the stove up the ramp..
    :p

Edit: just so Folks know - there was a (2nd) safety line on the appliance dolly, being cinched as the stove was winched up. (Gotta stay safe when moving heavy stuff..)

very quiet in my little corner. canoeing and cycling in the warmer seasons, and keeping the home fires burning in the colder ones.
there are some tempests in teapots in other quarters though.
my wife is very active with the library, which is in a strange transition period from a town run enterprise to a privately funded one.

i try my utmost to stay clear of all of that.
the (new) town council news overlaps with that situation as well.
like i said, i try to not know anything more than what is required for me to be a good husband.

That last part could keep you quite busy and in a lot of trouble. I figured there must be a bit strangeness up that a way these days.

I don't get to the library much any more since there isn't a branch that I could walk too in less than a couple of hours time. Used to have one a quarter mile from the house. Did a fairly good job of reading the sci fi section.

Now we visit the junk store circuit or library used books sales and buy books that get passed around and then end up back at a library used book sale. Lately I've been building my music and video library. When one is a retired ancient, you have the time for such activities.

well, we did have a squirrel crawl into a substation yesterday. took out power to over 3,600 customers for a little over 4 hours.
it was a good chance to run the genny in its new set up.
out in the (fully detached) shed with the exhaust plumbed out the back wall, genny itself blocked in solidly from moving, ground wire permanently attached, power cord running through the basement and up into the living room, all cords pre placed for stove, modem, tv, pc, etc...

it took just a couple minutes to get everything up and running.
i'm so glad i never had to set up under the front steps on a sub zero night.
