The rural area that I live is often a drop off place for puppies. This latest puppy made its way to my house and I don't know how old it is. It doesn't have puppy fur but it DOES have puppy breath. His testicles haven't dropped yet either.

If he was going to be a bigger dog we might keep him. We don't want a dog that can be carried away by a hawk when he is young and can hold its own against opossums and raccoons when an adult. I will get him to a no kill shelter soon.

Any info/ guess on age and future size is greatly appreciated.

I'd say about 4 months and by the looks of the bone structure in legs and feet he should be a 65lb-ish
    adult.

Definitely some pit bull, I'd say 4-5 months. How much does he weigh now? he doesn't look underfed. Looks like he's used to being handled.

12 to 16 weeks. Looks part boxer to me. Definitely fed recently and routinely. Definitely someone's dog. Post up a sign that reads puppy found and ur phone number. Make callers describe the dog before letting them even see the dog.

Looks like his tail is cropped.

Looks more boxer than pit bull. I have owned nothing but boxers.

Curious as to what the mix is. Very cute I wouldn't be able to give him up.

My dad has a Boxer and the pup has some of the same charactistics. It wraps its paws around things to hold on to it and tends to jump straight up and down like a lot of boxers I've seen. I thought Boxer when I first saw it. The nose is too long for a boxer. There are a lot of hounds in my area, pro hunter coon hounds and also Mountain cur and Fiest.

It has a good disposition and is very alert and watches everything. Hopefully we will keep it or find it a good home. It has a Vet appointment on Thursday.

As a side note: To all people that actually take responsibility for their animals and treat them as they should be treated, thank you very much. To those that don't, man up!

I agree, either well fed or bursting with worms. The ears are telling though, from the pic they appear to be clean = to me, he has an owner missing him :)

Sorry I do not remember more, the brindle should narrow down some breeds. Are the baby teeth in? I *think* I remember the baby teeth coming out about 4 months.

I wonder if mike bayerl has any input?

His tail doesn't have any marks or scars from being docked. I don't have any experience with docked tails. My cur was born without a full tail.

There is a local gas station where I can post some info and check for info. The locals on my road have been asked if they lost a puppy. I placed a deserted pup a couple years ago. It went to a good home. I will spare everyone what I have seen in the past when people dump off dogs. I will make sure this one gets spared

Thanks for all the info coming in. Much appreciated.

As with the peanut gallery 4 months! He definitely has Boxer in him, I'm sure he is a mix. The boy sack will start dropping at about six months so look for that and that will give you a idea of his true age. His face is a bit long to be a full boxer, he may have pit in him as well. I have Corgis and their tail is docked, you will not see any form of it. I also agree with some of the above, "no Hawk" will carry him away. I truly believe you will have a "VERY" sweet dog there with love and compassion!:). I'd keep him!

My 2 cents and I may be way off, his face looks like a spaniel in the one picture.
