Well guess what the folks at Fidelity that handle certain retirement plans for one of my prior employers finally got back to me and guess what they were wrong and I was right, now how to be kind in my correction of the ending date of my employment that they have for me. Oh well just goes to show you that you need to keep all that termination paperwork along with what gets sent to you within the next 4 months. These folks never thought they may run into someone that worked for two of their predecessor companies via mergers. It took them awhile to get back to me, they must have had to go down deep at Iron Mountain to get the paper records. Maybe by early next year we will have all of the pension stuff wrapped up.

Man do I hate paperwork and unnecessary procedures. No wonder the world is in a mess.

The longer they have to play with your money and not give it to you the happier they are

Had a 1990 Ford Ranger 4 Ltr -- 212,000 trouble free miles and then gave to my son who still has it 325,000 miles or there about.

1994 Beast (Suburban) was my Company vehicle, Bought it when the lease was up in 98. Quarter million miles without issue. The brides ride is an 09 Elantra which now has 90 K without issue. Fiat Spider is a 1973 Convertable was just sold in Sept. and it had about 150K, actual miles unknown as speedo was out of commish for about ten years.

Have also owned Chrysler, Dodge, International Scout, Jeep, Harley, Yamaha and BSA. With the exception of a Harley during the AMF years all were pretty trouble free.

Change the oil, do the maintenance and you are usually about 90% home free.

If I were in the market today I would buy a Ford cause they stood on their own two feet instead of going a beggin a few years back.

Just finished the yard, it went very smoothly. BUT

It went so quickly that the Linda just appeared with two hunks of treated ply for me to cut into reindeer to replace the ones that are worn. The sleigh looks OK though. So tonight I will be enjoying the ambiance of the wood shop cause she wants them for Thursday including the paint (which she will do).

Seems I had more time and less work BEFORE retirement.

Except the longer they have it the larger that Lump Sum amount that will be headed for my IRA will be.

I am fully aware of the games played and that is why I start early. I also have a nice laser printer, plenty of stamps, and know who can ring bells really loud.

lolololol...that's too funny...my mom and sister both had those, all I remember is my Pop with his buddy taking the motor apart. I think the cam wore and they needed to change it. I completely forgot about that until you mentioned it.

Wait, it wasnt a '78....i dont really remember what year-too much :cheers: and other stuff back then, but lets see-

Leaf spring broke-hmmmmm, how did that happen?
Heater core that required taking the damm dashboard out.
Oil pump that required dropping the front end to get the freaking oil pan off
Heater core again-bypassed it this time
    Oil pump again-junked the thing.

But I was 19 or 20, it was cheap and it had a V8 in it-which made it impossible to work on :headbang:

Heck, this "Exploder" has made it more miles than my last two vehicles did that I bought new. It has 130k miles so far. I was meticulous on the services for my vehicles too.

Nissan can KMA - never again; the 2004 Xterra made it about 120k and needed more $$ in work done to it than this Ford cost me. And that was after I put in a new starter (the battery lasted longer than the starter), had the hatch stripped down and painted (at 1.5 years) and other stuff. And, every 15k it needed a service that cost $500-$800 :hair:. The 4wd died - which wasn't even in the estimate for the work that needed done in5 years after I bought it.

The 2010 Patriot, well, at least it's services were cheap; so I'll give that another chance if I can get it repaired. But can't say that I'd by another Jeep since this one is at less than 110k miles.

If I could only afford a Toyota - those have never let me down!
