Dang.. Was that Jul's 880? Congrats!! You now own one of the meanest machines out there!! And it's ported by Scott!! We need a vid of that beast milling or bucking the biggest tree you can find!!
Stupid big wood, check. How about a stupid big walnut? About 4' at the stump, but I think I'm going to cut it in half first.
What is happening here? DexterDay has gone mad with Jonsereds and Husqvarnas lately, Shawn Curry can't stop acquiring bigger and badder creamsicles, and Bert is doing the ill advised headless backbarring techniques on monster wood. Nice saws fellas
The China saws started 2 yrs ago for Swags GTG. It's a vicious cycle I still want your 440. You'd be the 1st to get it back
Its coming with a 36" Tsumura light with .404 tip. I still gotta figure out what I'm going to run for a big bar.
I used it for the first time since Swag's GTG last week! Let my neighbor use it with a 25" to drop a big dead ash in his back yard after watching him take two minutes to cut a crooked notch with his dull 20" MS311. He was quite impressed with the 440's power as the 311 was the biggest thing he ever ran. Gee, I don't remember what our last "deal" was going to be. And if I was to be the first to get it back some day, its going to have all kinds of funky monkey business done to it by then I'm sure. I don't know if I could live with that? Hmmmmm "Old Man Jack" up the street (yeah, there are folks older than me) says this is a pumpkin ash, but I think its just a white ash with a funky base on the uphill side of the trunk! The proof is in the leaves/fruit which are all dead and gone. He's at about the 1 minute and 50 second mark on the notch at this point with his dull saw. I couldn't take it any longer and suggested for about the 3rd time "lets go get one of mine". It was a piece of cake after that.
You would get first dibs.. No monkey business on this one. Maybe a muff mod. But it would be stock. I have another 440 and a 10 mm Oh 44 that would get the "works"
