Did anyone catch the deal Menards had here in the Midwest?

On Black Friday, Menards had them for $97.

I dont use Poulans but my Dad got one for my brotherinlaw for christmas.

I ran a pp4620avx for a long time and it was a decent saw all in all. In fact my buddy now has it and he runs the snot out of it too. They don't do bad so long as a good chain and plug go in right away.

They usually need the carb tweaked more than anything else. The factory tunes are awful.

There was a sticker on the box saying 20% more power now. Something like that.

Mine was pretty well set but the chain was a piece of junk. It cut like a new saw with higher quality chain.

The wild thing I have runs fine, but wore out the drive sprocket in short order. Also, the drive shaft is smaller than the parts book specks. Despite the shortcomings, for the price it makes a good back up saw.

I think a Wild Thing would wipe the floor with a Earthquake 4518 power-wise.

Well, it's been awhile since I had the opportunity to run a Wild Thing. But the last one I ran ran pretty decent. Thats what they are known for. They are pretty strong runners, until they don't.

I bought one for cheap that needed a fuel line. Pulled the limiter caps, opened the muffler and put a good chain on it. Gave it to a buddy as a housewarming gift. He loves it for cutting wood for his fireplace, calls it the "Hulk". The only problem I had with it was it has absolutely no anti-vibe.

Yea, know what you mean. Just about did mine in last year with my 250 pickup. Sometimes I wish I had...they just are too brightly colored!
