So I just purchased a used Fahrenheit endurance and was wondering if I could get some info from you gentleman who own one? Can you explain the 3 burning modes? I know the manual mode but I'm not sure on the thermostat mode. Does it shut down in thermostat mode and start its self? Also I figured out that when in fuelmizer it will shut down after an hour or so and restart if needed when hooked to a thermostat. Last question is when I shut it down will the fan shut its self off eventually? Or do I manually have to do it when the flame is out? Thanks ahead of time for the help.

The furnace has a sensor on the side that senses the air temp going through the duct. Thr blower kicks on and off based on where that is set. It is the small upper panel on the left side (looking at furnace).

As for modes. Fuel Mizer and Thermostat both run off the thermostat and what your temps setting is at.

In fuel mizer, the furnace will start up and shut down depending on your temp setting. Once the thermostat temp is met, the furnace goes to low fire for about 30-45 min (IIRC). If the thermostat temp hasn't dropped any? Then the furnace shuts down until the thermostat temp drops and the need for heat is called for.

In thermostat mode, the furnace runs on high until it reaches your setpoint on your thermostat, then it goes to low fire (level 1) until the temp drops below your setpoint. Then it reverts back to the higher setpoint you chose (3-5)

The thermostsat you use upstairs is also important depending on the mode you chose. When in Thermostsat, you want to run a small swing setting. So the furnace can cycle between high and low often.

When in Fuel Mizer, it's best to run a higher swing setting on the thermostat. That way the furnace can shut down and stay off longer. Running a small swing will make the furnace start and stop very often. Wasting fuel and putting wear on the ignitor.

Swing setting is the differential in the stat and when the stat needs heat and does not.
Example- a 1° swing at 70° means the furnace will run on the heat setting you chose until 70° is met. Then it will shut down (on fuel mizer) or go to low/level 1 (on thermo) until the room hits 69°. A 3° swing means the furnace will run on the heat setting you chose until 70° is met and then shut down or go to low until the room temp drops to 67°.

The Lux brand of stats allows up to a 4.25° swing. Which is the best for thermo (on/off operation). This gives the furnace time to shut down and stay down. Then when it starts up it runs for a good amount of time on high (keeps the furnace clean).

I always use heat level 3 on either thermo or fuel mizer. Unless it's bitter cold. Last year I used level 4 a lot. Running a 3° or 4° swing on fuel mizer is good for milder temps (spring and fall) and 1° swing on thermostat mode in the colder months (below freezing outside).

What serial # is your stove? Any pics?

Thanks for the thermostat info, at the moment I'm just using one my dad had lying around. Is there a particular lux thermostat that is inexpensive that you could recommend?

I wonder if he thought this was a wood burner..... (much hotter flue)

BTW, your garage exceptionally clean, how fun for projects with heat out there!

Thanks for the help, I will go and pick one up this Saturday. I have my Fahrenheit loaded to the max with pellets. I purchased the pellets from fleet farm. There on sale for $4.69. Superior pellets, there the premium kind that are regularly $5.50 a bag. This guy is really pumped to have some heat. Has anyone tried These pellets out? How about some pellet recommendations that have worked out for you all.

I'm not real familiar with the pellets in your area, but Uncle Jeds and Rocky Mountain should be close to you.

What are some brands that you have near you?

Not to familiar with the pellets in my area, I will have to do some searching around, my dad has used superior pellets for the past 20 years to heat his house. I will have to do some modifications to my stove, it's burning really suttee. I seen you were talking to 343amc and had given him some suggestions on getting it to burn clean. Thinking about tackling this job tomorrow.

Here's a little info I found on superior pellets. These are sold at fleet farm.

Superior Pellet Fuels, LLC is an Alaska based company created exclusively to manufacture wood pellets utilizing locally available raw materials. All product is consumed in the state of Alaska. Owners, Deb and Dale Rich understand the importance of having a clean fuel source available to Alaskans, especially for areas of the state struggling to meet federally mandated air quality standards. Of equal importance is the fact that the money families pay for heating fuel with Superior Pellet Fuels will stay in Alaska rather than going out of state. The pellet mill will utilize wood waste streams from local sawmills, land clearing projects, and fire breaks set by forest management in the state as the primary raw material supply. This not only allows for use of raw materials to create an economical fuel source, it also puts money in the state’s coffers and encourages additional development in the timber industry.
