The EP is out in the garage doing all of my pellet "testing". Just picked up the CB over the Summer. Larger hopper, ash pan and more BTU. If I don't like the CB the EP is going back in the house so I'm definitely keeping the EP for now.

Up north this weekend for the last time this year. I was greeted by a nice layer of leaves everywhere. I sucked them up with the mower and I think I found bottom. Makes it easier come spring if I clean it up now.

There was a bit of beer left in the fridge and some booze in the kitchen cabinets. The key word is 'was'.

Unloaded the last 10 bags (cleanfire pacific) of my bag here, bag there 2 ton stash. That should do it for the year as I burned under 3 tons last year without any oil, and this year I plan on only using the pellet stove when we are home and awake.

Giving the Jeep, Snowblower, and generator an oil change.

Then blowing the leaves that the gods dumped in my yard. The last two days I went from nothing to buried

Same here IHP, aside from the random few leaves clinging, all trees are now bare. Word of advice - those leaves aren't going anywhere, I should have known better than to try to do all the work in (1) day yesterday, paying the price today..
Torn up, tired, and sore, and still more to go.. And gotta clean up the Bosses garden beds to boot. ( Hooray. Yippie. Yahoo.  )

Slow and steady wins the race, IHP.

Gotta go do outside stuff. Have a good day y'all!

Woke up to 60*. Gotta get to Lowes & HD to do some exchanges and maybe pick up some paving stones for the steps landing on the "new" rear deck (used).......it has been sitting upside-down in the back yard since before I bought the place last year. Finally got enough man-power to put it in place, and all the crappy parts were replaced. Gonna wait for spring to do the power washing, painting, and the lattice. Just nice to be able to have the grill right next to the back door, and a place to sit out in some privacy.
Also bought & installed an additional 20' of gutter to get water down to the end of the shack.....no more mud splashing onto the skirting.
When I get home, gonna do the final leaf blowing......the tree out front is now just about bare.

New roof pics. This weekend is prepping the master bed for drywall. Level the walls then new electrical then insulate. Maybe have some time to start installing the oak floor.

Started getting windy so I stopped leaf blowing. Still a lot more work to be done. But not today.

Outside work is done - up to 95% leaves removed, the Boss was a Garden Storm Trooper today - 30 minutes and the garden beds were bare.

Wind is picking up considerably, temps. are starting to fall - I'm done w/ outside stuff for today.

Plenty still to do - my MacGyver'ing on the mulching mower left a considerable (and impressive) trail of destruction in the Man Cave, lots of tools & bits to sort through and put away. (Oh, the pull handle broke on the Mower today. Shocking. More MacGyvering. I think this mower is trying to tell me I'm on borrowed time..)

Cleaned up the Shop Vac, removing the LG Granules from the stove, loading up with La Crete pellets for the 1st burn - looking forward to that this evening, like a kid in a Candy store. Yahoo!

S**w tires are on the caar, Trans line(s) leak is fixed on the pickem up(though it was power steering, But lucked out as the tranny lines were easier to get at. Wife started the leaf, and my son helped with the truck. We then jumped over to help once we got the vehicles done. Ordering some crub and crackin a brew.

Looks like all I need to get done is s**w blower tinkering and clean the gutters(almost forgot those)............. I hope!! May also blow the leaf's that are in the roadway as they will only end up in the yard anyway. Next weekend! I got some brewski's to consume!!

Got tired of doing that back on the last house. Went to Lowes and got these and installed them......goodbye gutter cleaning. Only thing I ever did after that was to remove one panel at the end opposite the drain, and shoot a good blast of water from the hose to flush any small dirt or shingle "pebbles" out the other end......did all the gutters in about 1/2 hour.
Put them on the new shack too.....one of the best things I've spent $$ on.

Yeah, but I abused the living daylights out of this mower the past 2 days.. It's long paid for itself, doesn't owe me anything. Funny thing is, it's running so well now, I'm thinking of showing it some love and fixing it properly. Then it will start running like crap again.. It's a love/hate relationship with this mower.

Nice job on the deck, BTW. Glad you have a nice spot for some chillin' and grilling.

X2 - Roofs came out real nice Spock.

Got the stove unloaded, La Crete's in, Boss says "Fire her up." Roasting -really- well, 1st impressions are here:

Thank bro. I could never get enough manpower here at the same time to flip it over & put in place so it could be re-furbed. Not bad for about $200 in materials, and I even still have enough deck paint left over to give it 2 coats in the spring.
