    Why you stubborn little .........
    This old Elm stump had the perfect place to hang on to. The tree had died a few years back so I took it down for firewood. Just now getting the stump out. It grew around a rock and through a bunch of rubble! Even after I had all the roots broken I had to dig the clay, dirt, and rocks out of the roots to get it light enough to get out of the hole!     This was digging out the clay and rocks from the roots. It took me over an hour to get this stump up and out and pushed off to the side. Going to come through this are with another trail. Backfilling this hole and low spot with large rocks from an old rock fence line. image.jpg

    Gasifier that looked like a nasty job. Good thing you do have a backhoe otherwise I could not imagine trying to get that stump out.

    It would not have come out without it. Unless a lot of sweat and maybe some fire was used. I will burn it in a future Bon fire.
