Fun filled day of crawling around in the attic wiring some new lighting tomorrow. I wouldn't mind it but the attic is cramped....4-12 trusses on 16" center. No room for somebody with my frame to manuever.

Took a day off to tackle some rotten window sills. Plan was for the petrified and epoxy route.

4/5 went smooth. The fifth was so far gone I had to replace it.

Let's just say that was a miserable 2 hours.

Never done it before, I thoroughly hacked it up but its a couple year fix as all the windows are junk.

I sat at the dining room table last night and my wife walked in the room and I said to her "I miss the forum, actually I miss alot of things that I used to do". She knew what I meant, having my dad in my life more than he was in the last 25 years has changed alot of things. I'm going to try and get back into things again, slowly and deliberately. Dad is in a safe place now and I have peace of mind knowing I'm not constantly worrying about him living with us any longer. I'm definitely happier than I was 3 mos. ago, feels good again.

And another small record, this is my 4th post tonight! I have had no interest, but it's coming back....
Thanks to the folks who have responded to my blabs and helped me through my stress and struggles.

To anyone going to N. Woodstock this weekend, look forward to seeing you there...

:drunk:yeah patching them is a PITA.
I went with solid vinyl windows when I resided the house no maintenance double hung with grills between the glass. Took me a bit to set the first one but the rest went easy.
It's amazing how far energy sealing has come from early 80's technology, no drafts + the easy cleaning just take it one window at a time

Hang in there bud, life throws all kinds of crazy curveballs that distract us from what we enjoy to focus on in the here and now. Go do something for you tomorrow and make a good dinner for the wife - it all comes full circle

Caffeine time. Going to spend the day getting things done around the house and maybe do some :saw: of stumps on the property behind the house. Depends on weather. Suppose to rain later this morning. Plenty to do inside as well.

I'll join you for the morning joe Gas.
Have to finish a furnace job today (mostly the sheet metal end of it) and then maybe it'll be an early departure for this dog!

My morning Joe consist of some ice in tall glass. 1/4 water and 3/4 V-8 Fushion Energy. (Favorite kind is the Pomagranate Blueberry.) I never got into drinking coffee. Usually would drink 1-2 sodas a day as well. But I decided to quit those now. I've been three days without them now and I'm starting to feel better already. I'm drinking two V-8 Fushions a day now and more water.

Funny story. A different place I use to work with some good people and one day someone was going to get some coffee in the kitchen. So they asked me if I wanted some. I said "No. I don't drink coffee." Another guy, who was older than I, looked at me like this and said. o_O "Ya don't drink coffee. What are ya a communist?"  We friggin laughed and laughed. Aaaaa, good times.
