Well here is my tractor. I call it "Fist Fight" because that's almost what happened when I beat another guy to it (CL deal) by 10 mins. He was freaking hot under the collar! I ended up with it for a cash sale. Got rear forks that mark Hoskey made into 3pt for me. Also got a 60gal fimco sprayer with booms, spray wand & PTO pump, 6' JD brush hog, and land pride 3pt blade. Oh and brand new tire chains... Kubota L2900 Working on driveway filling... 3pt forks with load of milled wood from my gtg. 4ft x 4ft pallets made from friends old decking. Hold 2/3-3/4 cord that I'll use forks to move.
Great pictures everyone! Tractors and firewood, what's not to like.... Got mine on a Craigslist deal too....
Yep lots of mulberry in fence rows. Never any long straight trunks. Real pain to process. But burns long & hot...
Here is my little all purpose tractor, had a 90hp JD, quit bailing hay, sold it and got this little Massey.
I just picked up this Case 1835B Diesel with 2200 hours, it came with a Bucket & Forks. I'm going to add a grapple and splitter before too long I hope.
I had to share my new grapple in this thread. I paid my neighbor to build it for my tractor. It does firewood log collection and its other top priority is moving brush and stumps.
You can see a little better here how it is custom made for the tractor. You can see his mounting for the quick attach plate. I can pick up my bucket, forks, or grapple. A few extra pins for the grapple.
I have a Case 222. Since I got the bigger tractors, I've done nothing with it. Those are very cool machines though.
I really like these little guys they both can pull a large load. Ive moved my 14' trailer loaded around the yard with ease, haul the splitter around, grade the driveway, move firewood and a bunch of other stuff. Love em...
I use a 1552 Massey-Ferguson; "Fergie" . I added expanded metal to the front push bar to prevent stuff from poking through the grill (don't ask why I needed this...) I still need to make up some belly pans for her. I added a grapple to a set of forks that I used to move logs around with. I have an Igland 3 pt. winch for it that I've modified by adding extensions to my chain boxes, a home made chainsaw scabbard, and a pin mount for my self-releasing snatch block.
Dang guy's with cab tractors. Just kidding, and welcome DMF! Nice woods rig ya got there. That can't be this years snow in your last pic, is it?
