Welcome to the forum garth. I am thinking I see some mulberry in your pictures, good stuff. That pile along the fence looks like about a half a cord by itself.
Welcome aboard Chris ,glad ya joined up . If your in a hurry for the wood to dry you could split it a little smaller , top cover will help it along also
It should be good for next year. The spot that it is in gets sun all day long and is facing south westish. I may split most of it smaller when I go back to finish off the two trees that stack came from.
Whoa! Another nobletuckian! Welcome Silentgarth! I'm out here by the new cabelas in a vinyl village too! If you need some help cutting splitting etc, let me know. I've got lots of saws, a hydro splitter a couple trucks and trailers. I think I even know where you are cutting....teter? Small small world.
Welcome to the show Chris! Best place on the web with all the best folks! Be careful of the mention of "beer" … It does crazy things to treads!
Welcome fellow Hoosier. I would try and get you an insert as the fireplace isnt real efficient. Glad you got the bug. Give use some dimensions of your house and the measurements of the inside of your fireplace. Do you heat with gas or electric? I heated with baseboard electric heat so buying a wood stove paid for itself the first year but I already had a flue in my house so no cost there.
Hello and welcome. I am a noob myself. I almost got myself hurt cutting a dead tree, it was a scary moment to say the least. The dead wood can be used quicker if it has been down a year or so. I cut some nice red oak from a dead tree that will be burned this year if I can get things together.
