Hey, I'm an old lady who is cold-blooded and likes to be warm. Plus, the downstairs stove is keeping part of the foundation and all of the concrete floor warm.

It is nip and tuck price wise, in fact I saw the dino juice pusher at the transfer station and I'll likely order a tank fill up sometime next month. Don't forget I buy multi year pellet loads.

Just curious....what did you pay for the Sets? If less than $230/ton, I'd understand burning them, but above that, the Propane is cheaper.

I don't blame you go with what keeps the most $$ in your pocket  I know you usually buy pellets every other year I'd buy tons too if I had the room to store them .

You got robbed. Feilding charged me $1.53 and $1.79. Your low usage has you in the high price. If you used more, the price would be way less. With pellets costing so much, Both oil and gas are much cheaper. I would be using it more in my area but the plumber hasn't returned to hook the last part of my loop up. The stove, Hot water and upstairs is up and running. Wife is cooking me out with the pellets. It is 82F in here where my desk is. I even have the porch door open. If I can sneak the window open a bit and not get caught, I might cool off. She keeps a close eye on those. Even checks to see if they are locked.

Zero pellets. If I had to guess, I used less than 10 gallons of oil last month. I've burned a bit of firewood, but so far it's all been spruce, birch and mountain ash that I took down around the property a couple years ago. Nothing bigger than 3" across.

It's supposed to be in the 60s and near 70 the first half of this week. It can stay like that through March if it likes.

That is the price for Amer*gas - regardless whether I filled up or put in 100 gallons. Even when I was using 300 gal/month, I had super high prices from them. It's the company I was stuck with when I bought the house. When I moved in the middle of November, I was filling the tank every month at 300+ gallons per month and I was keeping the temp at 64*!

Heck, NH's average price is at $2.59 anyway, as of 10/27/15. So even if I paid $2.59/gallon, I would go thru $777/month in an average winter. And that is only heating the main floor since the FHW isn't run for the basement. Ain't no way I'm going thru that much in pellets while heating both floors.

I've got a work shop and work out room that I am setting up. Had to completely tear out a room that was already there because it was old, moldy, and had no insulation behind the paneling that was against the foundation or the wall shared with the garage (that is fixed right proper now). The safe is down there - don't want the firearms getting cold :rootintootin:. Washer/dryer are down there too - eventually I will get them next to each other and have a proper laundry room (nothing like having the two appliances 12 feet away from each other and against different walls). Maybe even a second bath - especially if I build another garage and annex the current 1-car as part of the living space.

My whole property is my woman cave :D
