Haha! Yeah, I'm looking forward to a warmer Winter but don't wish to be the first recorded heat stroke victim of a wood stove. Maybe this weekend.

You should be made aware that in the Woodstock warranty in super small fine print there's one clause stating all Ideal Steel stoves shipped to Tennessee should be fired immediately upon imstallation and pics sent to Firewoodhoarders.com for viewing approval.

Nice stove, nice house, nice pics. Now open some doors and get that thing seasoned.:BrianK:

It actually might be good weather to do a seasoning burn, as you can then leave all the doors and windows open to vent the smell. Maybe the Ideal Steel doesn't need one because it has different coatings, but all of our stoves have emitted some rather foul smells for the first few seasoning fires.

    Just a thought.

Great looking pics on the install Tru. I'm partial to WS steel stoves as well and it looks like you made a great choice while doing your stove research. I mentioned on another thread, I'm heading up to Lebanon NH next weekend with a couple of FHC buds to enjoy the open house. I've never met Tom so this will be a treat, as well as seeing the new Franklin steel stove.
Love your choice in artwork too, fits the building and location well.
    Enjoy!

Agree. Plan is to season burn tomorrow morning (temp in the 40s) so we can open up the house for fumes. It was so unseasonably warm and sunny that day it seemed funny to burn wood. Looking forward to breaking it in.

Thanks y'all. The encouraging words and advice (and jokes) are appreciated.
