The fermenter is being sanitized. Timer is running. The apple cider is no longer too cold. Glad I'm making and not buying the good stuff.

Home made, "most" always way better! Plus side is more than cost. You know exactly what you making is being made with. Companies will dump about anything to maintain color, or enhance flavor, or extend self life. Doesn't matter that it isn't a food item being added.

Just hand picked apples and then the squeezins are cold pasteurized (UV). I've watched the process (oops) form stem to stern. I am awaiting fermentation signs, like that evil CO2 being burped out of the air lock. Good grief that means the world will get super heated.

Did my Harman cleaning today, removed the exhaust impeller to make sure it wasn't seized like last time. Graphite sprayed and put anti-seize on shaft/lock screw. Bagged some more leaves while the weather permitted, still have a lot to do:doh: The yard is starting to look like a wood pellet depot, scattered pellet bags all over:picard:Almost time for BBQ, beverages and football, Dolphins/Pats:cheers:

    That's a good way to re-use them.

When I first looked at the pic, I was like what the heck? Then read the description. Very creative re-use of the bags, I love it! I used some last year to make a slide for a home built roof rake and it worked like a charm! Pics to be posted one day.

Town does leaf pick up here and they will not take anything unless it is leaf bags.

The wife has been trying to figure a use for our pellet empties for a year now without success. I am not a big recycler, but then again I do not make much waste either, so to me it is not that big a deal. The county burn plant changes them to volts and that is good enough for me.

Might be a good game tonite - The home tavern will be open at 7:00 PM and we expect a full house. My eldest daughter who can not imbibe the fragrant beverages we provide acts as a taxi service for those we deem unable to drive. I collect all car keys upon entry to the cave and participants must pass the breath taster to get them back before morning.

Wonder if the new dolphins are for real ??

Maybe it is not worth the price to go with cable or sat for TV for a lot of folks. I am all set with what I can get OTA as we watch a bit of PBS and local News along with an occasional old movie don't need 95% of the dreck on cable any more than the dreck on OTA. Cost per % dreck is way lower with OTA.

Wand you mean like a sterie stick? Not quite strong enough I believe but I haven't done any looking into the matter.

On the small side but it works. I pack them good & hard then I rounded them up to dump in the forest at a stone throw from the yard.
It could be bait but I rather let them take them away:yes:
No town pick-up here and the debris depot is too far so in the forest they go
Hope the Dolphins win and make the Pats come back to earth:smoke:Verdict is out if the Dolphins are for real:cool:

??? They are the team everyone wants to hate, (sour grapes) except if you are from New England, which we are. I have to be careful and not pay too much attention. I know I'll jinx them. Best for me to DVR the game.

    No, not this time.

Dont fight it Larry. Just like with the Red Sox, we went though a lot of disappointment to get here. Everyone likes to dislike the dominant team but you have to acknowledge true talent-heck I tipped my hat to Derek Jeter when he retired from then dreaded Yankees-he truly deserved it. :)

Tom and Bill wont be around forever-enjoy it while it lasts

I haven't bought any garbage bags since I started burning pellets. Also use for kitty litter clean up. Next spring will use some to try to smother poison ivy. Still ended up taking a bunch to the transfer station last month.
