I second wildwest on receiving impromptu advice- Worker at Lowes was looking something up for me, and a young fella asked for help about replacing the chain on his saw... I told the worker lady, "I'll help him, you find my part on your computer thingy!!!" I conscientiously LOOK for the opportunity to help folks(usually at the Lowes or hardware stores), and the older people(after a little gauging and sizing up on my part) are generally appreciative and quite grateful. I've picked up some side work and made a few friends this way. The take away for me has been that I can take off the cynical jacket and lay it aside when I notice someone is truly in need of help. As for staying on topic- most of the wood burners I know are stuck in the "cut/split and burn" mentality... My dad on the other hand, seems to be coming around, especially since receiving his MM I sent him
Its funny I don't know how many times people have come up to me at the Home Depot and started asking me questions, what is it? my age, the way I dress or the tape measure hanging off my pants I don't know
"Excuse me, do you work here?" Some look at me funny when I offer help, 'cos I'm usually just coming from some work that has me looking kinda scroungy.
Opposite from my point of view..... You obviously know things that you could offer good advice on......
Funny thing is now BMW is spraying water into boosted motors to cool them off more and make more power. But yes, until we find a way to burn water, dry wood is best.
5'3" I heard that 5'2" is the legal limit for stacking ..... in Grand Blanc, MI..... Just kidding, HDR! I get that around here when my friends ask, "whacha up to?" And I say 6'2".... I'm sure you get it
I wonder (and claim intellectual property) if something to "crack" H2O molecules could be put in use, cost and feasibility not withstanding.....
So it that's the case, would that make the stove pipe a "crack pipe"? Many diesels inject urea, its a good thing I don't have a diesel otherwise my urea tank would be yellow and smelly, as well as not cost $15 a gallon.
Yep that's my law Walked out the door at work one day, I see a giant walking out, talked about the recognition short or tall people get ,he was 7'4" got some funny looks as we walked out together
