"Honey do lists" are high priority You just need to get wood cutting on the list & get it prioritized high on the list. Present your case: Wood won't be ready when needed if not processed & stacked 2 years ahead. Burning wet wood is dangerous. Then grovel a little, some self pity like ; your worried about not enough dry wood & letting the family down stuff that usually put it higher on the list.
I feel your pain, I keep telling myself "you can go cut wood after you............ ". I do have a Hickory tree all picked out and I do have everything else done soooooo the next free day I have I can start cutting wood! Hopefully Sunday
Dave she loves the heat and wood is where it comes from! Normally it isn't an issue because I don't work fridays but on the end of the year when we have an ice storm and trees in piles everywhere…. Forget it I can't even cut a twig!
You got hacked by your wife! Mrs Pallet Pete we have the utmost respect for you and your list. But in this nuthouse we do all agree that firewood is a needed item at the top of the list.
Treat it like business, Pete. Set down with the beautiful lady and prioritise your list by deadline and expiration date. Wood in an ice storm may have to go on the action item list-- get it before it's gone.
Threaten to take her out dancing Pete. On that knee, I'm betting she will vote for wood cutting instead. Sometimes you just have to do whatever is necessary. But all joking aside, most on this forum know that Pete has a wonderful wife.
