Most times you should not go over 500 on the flue. 200 stove top is okay so long as you have a steel cat. Ceramic needs 250 stove top. For us, we engage anywhere from 425-500 flue and like to get 225 stove top minimum. Seems to work well this way. Yes, we have a Fireview rather than the Keystone but they are very similar. If you want to be real certain, give Woodstock a call. Yes, they will help you even though you did not buy there.

Yup exactly. The skinny pieces were the scrap left over from cutting the wide pieces. If anyone tries this is learned through this that the tiles are not necessarily square or the same size. This made for a little more irregularity than I planned on but it came out alright in the end.

Thanks for the info, I think after re reading the manual I've got it down now. My initial startup of this stove was not done correctly but no damage was done and I know better for next time.

Enjoy! Don't worry about break-in fires, the stove is built like a tank. For a new stove or rebuilt yeah.. but not a season to season thing.

Most of a break in is to burn the chemicals out of the paint. Just try not to overfire the stove and keep it below 700'F, which should not be hard to do. Don't burn it wide open and especially don't burn it with the cat not engaged after a 20min start-up.
