Speaking of your thread on N/W loading, papadave extra short splits might be helpful for her. Both bringing it in AND loading the stove :)

Gooder idea ww. We started cutting some wood for her a couple years ago that was only about 12", due to the firebox in the stove she just traded back.
She's burned that, but now we can get serious about how best to cut wood for this stove. Lots of dead/down Oak and lots of Red Maple at her place (my cutting floor), so no lack of good firewood.
She prefers a cool-ish house, so this stove should do well to keep the furnace off at least when she's home.

MightyWhitey and Canadian border VT probably have some great suggestions. I assume she is not a spring chicken? The pellet stove and nc13i here went in at the same time, Pellet stove is easier for me I have not used the NC13i much........ :)

Now why in the world would you correctly assume such a thing?
Four years older than I, but we won't divulge my age. Ok, ok, I'm 61.

    Nice baffle "modification."

I went and checked the specs and I was surprised at 60,000 BTU output. I've heard them called little stoves, but it seems to be a capable heater.

Some folks see that stove as "scrap" where hoarders see it as an "opportunity."

"Rated" for up to 1800 sq ft, and her house is only about 1000-1100.
More than enough ooomph, just not super long burns, but we'll see.
    Thanks Jon.
My brother keeps telling me I now have 2 wives. :hair::rofl:
Our deal is this.....I help her with stuff around her place, and I get free access to the woods any time.....as much as I can cut.:handshake: Deal.
She's gonna' need to hire someone to do the flashing and cap, since she has a metal roof, and I'm not going up there. I put the trusses, rafters(we had to do both),sheathing and paper up there, so I'm done with the roof.

Looks nice like that. Prolly burns gooder too.:headbang:

Gasket looks to be in good shape too. It's been sitting outside on that wagon with a tarp over it for a while, but the gasket is good.
