    this inkling ran through my head with the stiff winds and cool temps this morning - crock pot.
    Boston butt and a jar of kraut, 5-6 hours later:drool:
    mashed taters on the side, and I like a sprinkle of Chacheres gives it just a hint of heat

    You can try some whole unpeeled potatoes in with it. Carrots work also.

    Aww man that looks good. My wife made some ribs last week in the crock pot for 8 hours then she threw them in the stove for a few and they melted off the bone. Some corn bread, bush beans and cole slaw, will take pics next time...

    I'm gonna try some potatoes in it next time, thanks for the idea.
    This dish can't be beat with some mashed potatoes on the side.

    This has been a favorite of ours for as long as I can remember. Our four kids like it, but only one family will eat it so the others only get it when they visit.
