Wind is picking up here, rain to start in a few hours, gutters cleaned (again..), lawn equipment is tarped, 6 more bags of pellets in the house, the "Boss" is good to go when she gets home from work / this evening.

Gave up on leaves - Gen test will have to wait until I clear the wreckage, after this storm passes.

Have to fix the wiring on the utility trailer first, ground wire is blackened inside, has a bad ground point - time for some re-wiring..

    Have a good day everyone!

Hey people long time. Hope all is well. Decided at 1.85 a gallon to load up 500 gallons of oil instead of putting the $$ towards pellets. I do have a couple of tons of Vermont's though, so that should keep us cozy when we are home. Winter beers coming into the store, sad that the octoberfest beers are almost all but a dream!!

I do the warsh every 8 days , so it moves. Oh well. We got loaded up on fried seafood at noon time and then stopped in at Apple Acres on the way back and got some apple cider, the boss got some fudge at the farm store. Tomorrow or maybe tonight, if the cider gets warm enough, I'll fill up a fermenter and pitch some yeast. Fall brewing season has officially started, next up be a mead, followed by a couple batches of ales. Going to need more empty bottles, so I best be emptying a few that are currently full. Oh that reminds me I washed down the fried seafood with a Tuckerman's.

    Now it is nap time.

YUP, same here, but I am still burning a little bit already to keep the basement warm-or maybe its more like the moth attracted to the flame :)

I just hope I dont get use to this even heat thing-cuz we all know oil wont stay down forever

I didn't pay attention to it for 5 days. I thought my son was doing it. but when I went to it, all the food was gone and the batteries dead. I wonder if something got zapped, batteries died, then the other ate the victim and the grain. Will need to start fresh and pay attention to it myself. It was in the garage where it was needed. I don't go in there much.

I bought some Okanagan Douglas Firs.....@ $8.99/bag o_O . I'm not even going to use one to test, just going to wait until it gets below zero and chuck them in. I guess I'm going to have to go get more La Crete's and call it a day.

I got Firesides again. My stove burns them up just fine. I have the stat on so I can't rally make a good assessment on the pellets except they burn fine and I am getting the heat I wanted. I would have gone to Walmart for MWPs but at HD I only have to go inside the door to the service desk where I can ask for and pay for with no line to wait in. There is a skinny guy there who is quick and very polite. He takes them right to the van and loads them up for me.
I want to get some from SIB but the garage is still overloaded with household stuff.
