We all gonna die. Hit by train, car, lightning, choke on wishbone, fall in shower, meat eating induced cancer.
I too eat more chicken than beef. Missing the beef, but I do have a digestion issue, so thus less red meats.
Turkey bacon has the killer ingredient HDRock (bacon) so be careful!

I tried turkey bacon, Didn't like it much, but thought I would give it a try. Then, they go an issue a recall. So I ended up with 2.5 lbs. of recalled meat that I have to take the proof of purchase back to the store, then toss out the turkey bacon. I already had given up on Smithfield pork products because they were bought out by China, and there are several reports of horrid conditions on their farms and processing plants.
I'm really grateful that we have a local meat market with local products. I went shopping in their Sunday morning. The man who waited on me even insisted on carrying my package out and putting it in my car for me. :BrianK:

If the kooky nutjobs that make this crap up had their way, we'd all be grazing in the back yard.

Well, they used to claim that red meat led to high cholesterol and heart trouble. When that proved false, something else had to replace it.

Margarine used to be good and butter bad, now we know the opposite to be true. Eggs bad, not really. Coffee bad, not anymore.

Is this agenda driven, or just bad science? I think a little of both.

Use common sense and follow moderation, and you won't go too far wrong with food.

You got it. There is some truth, but also a lot of "agenda". Buy from your local producers. You will be amazed how much better the products are and while the cost might be more, it is far better in more ways the the highly processed stuff with the long shelf life.

Yes, this is what we do. We local source good quality meats (chicken, beef) that are fed their natural diets. We buy enough to last a while, freeze it, and eat it in moderation. It tastes better, is more convenient, and might cost a little more, but for noticably better quality.

It beats the pants off of the same cuts bought in the grocery store.

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we all shall die.
I'd really hate to have gone through all the crap in my life I've dealt with, only to die of absolutely nuthin'.
    What's the point of that?
Nobody told the Neanderthals they shouldn't eat Mastodon steak, and they.......oh wait, they're all dead.
