I'm close to 20 bags already; I just looked at pics I took after stacking the 4 tons, and I've used 2 rows (5 bags each) then add in the 8 bags I've bought randomly. Oh, and I had already filled the stoves when the pics were taken so with what the stoves have in them now 20 bags is a pretty good number.

I ran thru 1 bag really quick and the main floor was about a million degrees one day when I got home from work. The P43 was set at 67 (which means house is 71-72) and on auto. I had filled the hopper before leaving for work and it was about 2 cups away from being empty when I got home. Finally realized the temp probe had fallen on the floor. Probably the fastest I've ever burned an entire bag with a main floor stove :picard:

I'd save them for colder weather. No need for high octane yet.

First real test of the season . The stove performed like a champ keeping us nice and cosy at 71 - 72 degrees upstairs . My setting are 74 degrees downstairs with a swing setting of # 6 on the Lux thermostat which gives me a 40 minute on time and 20 mins. off keeping the house a nice even temp . Now I'm off to the stove shop to see what they on hand for pellets . :binoculars:

Still haven't fired up either pellet burner yet. I've had a few fires in the wood insert and have been letting the oil furnace take the chill off in the mornings. Sounds like next weekend it's going to cool down a bit. It's 63 and rainy here today.

Temp never got higher then 50*F today. Stove's been on and off all day. Headed to the low 30's tonight so the next time it fires I'll be switching to high/low for the first time!! Might keep it on High/Low all day tomorrow. Cold raw and rainy(damp) is scheduled!!
