This was waiting on me when I got home from work today. Fueled it up and took it out for a few test cuts and I am really liking what I saw. It seems to be really strong for its displacement and man does it feel light!!

I have been wanting to run one of these since the day they were released but I am a tightwad what can I say.......

Cut a bit more with it this evening and I am really liking it. It is louder than I expected with the muffler mod on it.

I will probably head out to dads this weekend to cut some more and it will probably get some more run time then. Who knows it may end up at my dads before this all over as his Husky 51 is getting up there in years and he was asking me about finding him a good addition to it so he can use it for a backup saw.

This thing has a 16" bar with 3/8" chain which I like since it takes the same file size as the rest of my chain however is there any advantage to running it with .325?

I'd stick with 3/8" on that saw. It will pull it just fine.

They are great saws and strong as can be in stick form (with muff mod).

You got a heck of a deal on that saw. If I didn't commit to buying a 10 mm 044, that would have been at my place ;)

    Congrats! !

Its a fun saw to run. Enjoy!

    .325 will be smoother limbing.

I am not really a fan of the grey, mainly because it doesn't seem to hold up but I'm not to concerned with it. I honestly wish they would make them all orange again as I feel the color and look holds up much better.

Me too. Except it's a little heavy to make pumpkins. The 261C-M (or 550xp) is a lot lighter. :)

You will love that saw. My 550 gets the most run time of all my saws.

I think that was my old girl:(:(:(. How ironic that 3 of my old saws were for sale at the same time. Two of them haven't sold yet though. Enjoy!!!

Yep. I have that saw and ran a 18 bar running a 3/8 chain. Then I went to 16 bar and .325 chain. I really like the .325 setup.
