You try rebooting the router and see if it improves a bit?

I did not. My wife is watching Sling TV without issue. And we stream multiple devices all the time. Here is a pic of my current speed test:

I had to change my router from the 2.4 GHz radio to the 5 GHz one to eliminate interference from the portable telephone system, two wireless mouse systems, and the microwave which all use or splash over the 2.4 GHz band, lots of noise as a result of that set up.

Any issues with signal strength on the 5 GHz stuff?

Speed looks good! Maybe you're just dropping packets on one of the hops to Yahoo.

Not here, it works fine between where my router is and the TV. My router doesn't have any external antenna(s) and is a WNDR4500(Netgear) some routers even allow setting transmitter strength. If I run into signal strength issues I have a lot of positioning ability in relation to the receiving device. You might also be getting interference other nearby routers operating in the same band and even on the same channels. Radio systems are funny that way and that is why the big boys are regulated, us small fry have to learn to live with or work around intereference.

Just finished bottling mead ,,,, Be ready to guzzle, errr sip, in about two weeks.

I did do a taste and it was quite good -- Measured a little under 12% on the meter, about twice as strong as my ale and 3 times as strong as the porter light.

    Stash is now --

7 pints dandy lion wine cherry wine (5 for gifting)
9 pints candy apple sweet wine (5 for gifting)
3 Quarts dry sparkling strawberry wine (Christmas Brunch)
12 Pints dry grape wine (and 12 more to be bottled shortly) -- we age the wine a year.
11 Jugs of special brew - in salt glaze jugs - about half will be used at our spring biker party

    19 pts light lager
    36 pts blond ale
    14 pts IPA
    26 pts Belgium Ale
    48 pts brown maple ale
    48 pts light porter

    In the fermenters
4.75 gallon Czech Lager (The REAL King of Beers)
    2.75 gallon Blueberry wine

2.5 ton coal being delivered for Linda's antique shop coming Monday

Guess we as ready as we can be for the dark months.
