    It has been misting but so far I have dropped a few trees for dad. I took the 555 out to his place and let him run it and he wasn't sure what to think lol.

    I was cutting this one against the lean so I tied off to it and pulled it up hill so we didn't have to chase over the cliff.

    Dropped and bucked a few more. Buried the 20" bar in oak and you can't slow the 555 down! Brad Snelling has a wicked good port job!

    I was furious at myself for pinching the stupid bar!! luckily no harm was done and I got it out with the log peavey!

    Last one to bite the dust!! Had to quit as it is pouring outside. Got it all limbed and bucked.

    This is the one I pinched the bar on in the post above. It should have posted before the previous one but the post didn't go through for some reason. Anyhow 5 good trees on the ground and bucked so I call that a success!

    I've pinched'em a couple more times than I'd like to remember. It really sucked when I only had one saw with me and no peavy. I think the worst I ever remember I had to unbolt the saw from the bar and chip it out around it with my scrench. Now I never cut without a back up saw.

    Actually had about 50 foot of cable on it and about 20' of rope. I had it rigged up with a block and tackle so I had my dad pulling at a 90 angle to the fall. If at all possible I prefer to not have them falling at the guy putting tension on them.

    I definitely like having a second saw also!

    We had a second saw, an older Husky 51, but the starter rope coil spring broke on it. Ended up having to bend a new end on the spring to get it back in business.

    Do you bring felling wedges with you? If so I've used those to open a cut up to free a saw.:yes:
